Denim fabrics can be used in so many ways There are so many different types of denim and jeans on the market. This is because denim fabrics can be used in so many ways. This results in all kinds of denim styles for all kinds of people. Whether you’re a young person that follows the latest trends always, a regular person that wears what the main stores offer, or that person that is always on the hunt for special items, denim is for all of us. Everyone looks great in denim! Luckily we are all the same Different people mean different ways of expressing yourself and your behavior. Luckily we are not all the same, but we all have different points of view. This is also as it comes to taste. You can’t discuss taste. And sometimes it’s hard to explain why those specific jacket or jeans is your favorite. Most of the time it is because it feels good. It wears so comfortably and because you like to color, style, details and so on. But, someone else doesn’t feel the same with that specific denim item. It’s all because we have different tastes, and also different body types of course. This is also leading to a winning item in your closet in the end. If a specific item doesn’t feel that good while wearing, you will not wear that item so often. It’s interesting when you take a look at the streets. You will see so many variations of people, all dressed in the way they feel the most comfortable. Some people are looking the same in the first place, but when you’re looking longer than you will notice that they're slight differences between them. In the end, it’s impossible to zoom in on all the different types of denim wearers, but let’s zoom in on four popular categories of denim people. As said, it’s hard to frame people nowadays, and there are way more variations and also people that cross over in one of these four categories, but we have to start somewhere, right?! Denim wearer – mainstream The mainstream person that wears denim is someone that prefers to wear regular-fit jeans. So, not trendy high-waist or super skinny fit denim, just a good old-fashioned pair of blue jeans. The washings of these jeans are also not extreme, so no heavy bleachings, rips and holes, or applications or whatever, just plain jeans with a decent factory wash. This person also doesn’t follow the latest trends or is interested in what comes next. They just want to have a good pair of jeans for a reasonable price. They’re loyal to brands and not switching each season to something new. Their experience with a specific brand and model is key in their next purchase. Denim follower – trend follower The denim follower is someone that follows the trends. They’re in for more fashionable denim brands, they want to experience something new each season. Also, the more extreme and outgoing washings on their jeans can be worn by them. They also like to shop quite often and love to stay up-to-date when it comes to styling and new developments. Denim lover – connoisseur Denim lovers are persons that can also be described as connoisseurs. A person that is always looking for that special item. Something that is made in small batches and has a unique story to tell. They’re also embracing the double denim style, so wear jeans with a denim shirt or jacket. Also, the origin is an important element for them, so they love to wear rigid (unwashed) denim, but with a more modern fit. They combine their jeans with sneakers or leather footwear, also with established brands, but also new upcoming brands. Denim head – early adaptor The early adaptor, also called the original denim head, is dedicated to denim. It’s a way of life. Denim is more than just a fabric or garment for them. They live for denim. They’re hardcore denim wearers and prefer to wear denim as pure as possible, so they love authentic workwear-related styles. Combining their denim outfits with accessories such as a hat, bowtie, and all kinds of jewelry is what they love. They have a strong relationship with the denim community as well, and prefer to buy less, but good.
